Fox Feeds Ltd, the regional producer of the HorseHage and Mollichaff brands for Eastern England, has recently appointed Olivia Colton as Quality and Business Development Manager.
Olivia’s role will be to make sure that Fox Feeds meets the exacting quality standards needed for UFAS, FEMAS and BETA NOPS schemes and to ensure its customers get the best quality products. She will be based at Fox Feeds’ main office in Brent Pelham, Hertfordshire.
She has ridden since she was three years old and currently owns two horses – ‘Sport’, an eight-year-old Thoroughbred x Warmblood gelding who she purchased this summer, and she also has an eleven-year-old sports horse mare who has had to retire from work, but who she hopes to breed from.
With an MSc in Applied Equine Science from Writtle College, Olivia has worked within the equine industry for four years, previously for an equine supplement company.
She will be taking over the position of long-standing member of staff, Frances Sheffield, who is due to retire at the end of September from a career with Fox Feeds extending to over 27 years.
Frances joined Fox Feeds in 1991 as Sales and Marketing Manager, and then became Sales Director. Over time, her role became increasingly office-based as she took over the responsibility for seeing the company through UFAS and FEMAS certification and then BETA NOPS, when her title changed to Technical Director.
Said Frances: “I am looking forward to a future which does not include idleness, as I will have more time to support my daughter, Bert, in her successful career as an international para-equestrian rider.”
“I will also be able to increase the amount of dressage judging that I am able to undertake, so I am going to be kept very busy!”
Said Olivia: “I’m really pleased to have joined the team at Fox Feeds. Frances has done a fantastic job so I have some very big shoes to fill!”
